On Friday, March 13, 2020 the White House declared a national emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has allowed the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to issue an 1135 to relax certain rules and conditions of participation (CoPs) for many healthcare providers.
