Whether you’ve been following us for a short while or are a long time member, it’s time we take a moment to reacquaint ourselves! We believe that what we do matters not just to our members but to patients across the country. Consider joining our mission to improve the lives of individuals at all levels in the rehab industry.
What is NARA?
You don’t have to be a part of the “club” to get to know us. NARA stands for the National Association of Rehab Providers & Agencies. We recognize the importance of all areas of therapy. It’s because of this that we’ve made it our mission to culminate the efforts of rehab providers, therapists and support organizations into one collective body. With NARA, members have countless educational opportunities and play a pivotal role in advocacy for all rehabilitation industries. We are on the frontlines and partner with those on the frontlines on Capitol Hill to ensure that legislation is making moves in the right direction for patients and providers.
What We Do Best
Our value statement is, “To share knowledge, support, and resources in the Rehabilitation Industry uniting clinical excellence and successful business management.” This is what we strive to do every day through our services. While the scope is wide in terms of our members, we make it a point to be sure that every member has the opportunity to build relationships and gain knowledge from others in their direct field. We do this through conferences and quarterly special interest group calls. Some of the upcoming calls for members include: Acute/Hospital, Compliance, Home Health, Outpatient, SNF/LTC.
In order to be a part of effective change, it’s essential to make sure each member understands their importance to NARA’s efforts and their occupational efficacy to rehabilitation overall.
Our Logo
You may have noticed our logo with the Capitol Building, stars and arches. While beautifully simple, the logo itself represents the many aspects of what we do and who we are. It answers three questions. Who is NARA? Who does NARA represent? How is NARA involved in Rehabilitation? These are essential questions to ask and know the answer to before joining us in our efforts.
Play a Part in Change
No matter the field, rehabilitation providers aim to improve the lives of their patients. Through our day to day work, we are able to see lives changed by what we do. Unfortunately, this work can take much of our attention away from legislation decisions that impact ours and our patient’s day to day lives.
As a NARA member, you play a part in advocacy for rehabilitation providers and patients across the country. NARA even has its own Political Action Committee that fights for the success of rehabilitation overall. We need people who know the industry well to fight on behalf of the industry.
If you’re interested in learning more about NARA membership, we would love to have you on board. We even have trial memberships if you’d like to dip your toes in the water first. We look forward to hearing from you!
